This data release contains nutrient and sediment concentrations, loads, and yields from a USGS subsurface-tile edge-of-field (EOF) agricultural monitoring site. Sampling and flow monitoring were performed at the outlet of a subsurface-tile that drains 14.7 acres of cultivated cropland. The site is located in South Central Michigan and discharges into a headwater stream of the Maumee watershed. Through a cooperative agreement between the USGS and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Michigan, data was collected from May 22, 2019, through March 19, 2023. This dataset describes water-quality data measured from the parking lot influent and underdrain and overflow effluent from the porous asphalt, pervious concrete, and permeable interlocking concrete paver test plots in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. Data include precipitation statistics; influent, overflow, and underdrain volumes; and concentrations and loads of total and dissolved forms of solids, nutrients, chloride, metals, and bacteria. Samples were collected in September 2016 through July 2018. These data are interpreted in the Journal of Environmental Management.

This data release provides computed rainfall (rain total, duration, intensity, erosivity and antecedent rainfall) and flow (flow volume, flow-weighted mean concentrations, total loads, and total yields) metrics from monitored precipitation, discharge, and water quality (nutrients and sediment concentrations) data collected at U.S. Geological Survey edge-of-field (EOF) monitoring sites located in five Great Lakes States (Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and New York). EOF monitoring sites are installed at the edge of agricultural fields, either on the field surface or using subsurface tiles, where runoff can be intercepted and channeled through monitoring equipment before it enters the natural stream system. These data were collected as part of a study to assess the stormwater volume reduction capabilities of urban street trees. In this paired-catchment study rainfall-runoff relations were developed in a medium-density residential area before and after half of the street trees were removed from the treatment basin. The Supplementary_Event_Data set contains rainfall depth and intensity, event date and duration, and paired runoff volume and peak discharge for 135 rainfall events that ocurred between May and September 2018-2020. Unit value discharge and rainfall data used to develop the Supplementary_Event_Data are also published in this data release.
The data set contains results from leaf litter samples analyzed for total phosphorus (TP) and total dissolved phosphorus (TDP) released from Green Ash (Fraxinus pennsylvanica) and Norway Maple (Acer platanoides) leaves in three medium-density urban residential basins in Madison, WI, USA during October and November of 2017 and 2018. Tables contain averages and standard deviations for all replicates from TP and TDP leaching tests, fraction of TDP released within 48 hours, and average TDP release rate.
