This data release includes one comma delimited table that represents a summary of source and target samples collected for White Clay Creek between 2020 and 2023, in support of sediment fingerprinting modelling. This table contains sediment sample information and results of particle size, elemental composition, and fallout radionuclide analyses. Any use of trade, firm, or product names is for descriptive purposes only and does not imply endorsement by the U.S. Government. First posted - October 18, 2023 (available from author). Revised - March 28, 2024 (version 2.0). This data release has been revised to include data from samples collected in 2023 that were not published in version 1.0.

This data release includes data created, collected, and/or otherwise modified in the process of quantifying a sediment budget for the Smith Creek Watershed near New Market, Virginia, USA. Five raster files are included, namely a modeled index of hydrological connectivity, a raster model of modeled floodplain depositional masses and extent, a rasters of modeled gross and delivered upland erosion, and a hydrologically conditioned Digital Elevation Model (DEM). Two vector shapefiles are also included. The first documents the results from the stepwise linear regression models developed to estimate erosion attributed to streambeds, streambanks, and floodplains along stream reaches throughout the watershed. The second...

This metadata record documents six LiDAR point clouds, six point cloud generation reports, and three comma-delimited tables that contain information on local channel morphology and topography for a select number of reaches along Midway Branch and its associated tributaries within the confines of Fort George G. Meade, Fort Meade, Maryland. Point cloud generation reports include diagnostic information regarding errors introduced during registration and other associated processing steps. Information included in the comma-delimited tables include data regarding bed, bank, and overall channel characteristics for each reach surveyed.

This metadata record documents two comma delimited tables that contain information on fallout radionuclides and urban sediments within Dead Run watershed in Catonsville, Baltimore County, Maryland. Measurements include radiological activity for rainwater and sediment samples, sediment particle size information, suspended sediment concentration measurements, elemental composition of sediments, and sediment yields of paved surfaces. First posted - November 13, 2019 (available from author) Revised - March 19, 2020 (version 1.1)

ScienceBase brings together the best information it can find about USGS researchers and offices to show connections to publications, projects, and data. We are still working to improve this process and information is by no means complete. If you don't see everything you know is associated with you, a colleague, or your office, please be patient while we work to connect the dots. Feel free to contact sciencebase@usgs.gov.
