This dataset describes survey data collected for the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), the agency in charge of regulating Colorado River water control operations impounding the Lake Powell reservoir. Additional intent of the collected data was to assure consistencies among gaging elevations at Glen Canyon Dam near Page, Arizona as well as verification and alignment of a recently published topobathymetric digital elevation model for Lake Powell. Glen Canyon Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam on the Colorado River in northern Arizona and is the second largest man-made reservoir in the United States. The location was chosen to survey due to uncertainty in the local datum used by the Reclamation as well as uncertainties...

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the city of Grandview, Missouri, assessed flooding of the Little Blue River at Grandview resulting from varying precipitation magnitudes and durations, and expected land cover changes. The precipitation scenarios were used to develop a library of flood-inundation maps that included a 3.5-mile reach of the Little Blue River and tributaries within and adjacent to the city. A hydrologic model of the upper Little Blue River Basin, and hydraulic model of a selected study reach of the Little Blue River and tributaries were constructed to assess streamflow magnitudes associated with simulated precipitation amounts and the resulting flood-inundation conditions. The...

Digital flood-inundation maps for a 6.7-mile reach of Joachim Creek at De Soto, Missouri, were created by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the city of De Soto, Missouri, and Jefferson County, Missouri. The flood-inundation maps, which can be accessed through the USGS Flood Inundation Mapping Science Web site at https://water.usgs.gov/osw/flood_inundation/, depict estimates of the areal extent and depth of flooding corresponding to selected water levels (stages) at the USGS streamgage 07019500 on Joachim Creek at De Soto, Missouri. Near-real-time stages at this streamgage may be obtained on the Internet from the USGS National Water Information System at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/ or the National...

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the City of Grandview, Missouri, assessed flooding of the Little Blue River at Grandview resulting from precipitation events of varying recurrence intervals and durations, and expected changes in land cover. The precipitation scenarios were used to develop a library of flood-inundation maps that included a 3.5-mile reach of the Little Blue River and tributaries within and adjacent to the city. A hydrologic model of the upper Little Blue River Basin, and hydraulic model of a selected study reach of the Little Blue River and tributaries were constructed to assess streamflow magnitudes associated with simulated precipitation amounts and the resulting flood-inundation...

Digital flood-inundation maps for a 9.9-mile reach of Dardenne Creek, St. Charles County, Missouri, were created by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with St. Charles County, Missouri Department of Transportation, and the cities of O'Fallon and St. Peters, Missouri. The flood-inundation maps, which can be accessed through the USGS Flood Inundation Mapping Science Program at http://water.usgs.gov/osw/flood_inundation/, depict estimates of the areal extent and depth of flooding corresponding to select water levels (stages) at the USGS streamgages 05514860 Dardenne Creek at Old Town St. Peters, Missouri, and 05587450 Mississippi River at Grafton, Illinois. Near-real-time stages at these streamgages may...
