This data release contains the analytical results and the evaluated source data files of a geospatial analysis for identifying areas in Alaska that may have potential for sediment-hosted Pb-Zn (lead-zinc) deposits. The spatial analysis is based on queries of statewide source datasets Alaska Geochemical Database (AGDB3), Alaska Resource Data File (ARDF), and Alaska Geologic Map (SIM3340) within areas defined by 12-digit HUCs (subwatersheds) from the National Watershed Boundary dataset. The packages of files available for download are: 1. The results in geodatabase format are in SedPbZn_Results_gdb.zip. The analytical results for sediment-hosted Pb-Zn deposits are in a polygon feature class which contains the points...

This dataset consists of one table with sample collection locations and results of screening resident wildlife for Cryptosporidium and Giardia in the Alaskan Arctic, 2012-2017. We analyzed feces collected from polar bear, Pacific walrus, Arctic fox, and caribou with MERIFLUOR direct immunofluorescence assay to determine the presence of Cryptosporidium oocysts and Giardia cysts.

This is a child item of the USGS Data Release: https://doi.org/10.5066/F7513WCB. These data are part of the Gulf Watch Alaska (GWA) long-term monitoring program, nearshore monitoring component. The dataset has six comma separated values (.csv) file exported from a Microsoft Access relational database. The data consist of percent cover and point contact data from algae and invertebrates at intertidal rocky substrate sampling sites. Tables include: 1) intertidal cover, 2) intertidal percent cover, 3) intertidal top layer percent cover, 4) intertidal substrate percent cover, 5) taxonomic classification, and 6) Gulf Watch Alaska contributors. Version History: First release: September 2022 Revised: October 2023 (ver....

This data package includes two child items with data from Pacific Black Brant (Branta bernicla nigricans) during winter and migration periods. Child Item One: "Body mass, Morphological Measurements, Flock Counts, and Age-Ratios from Black Brant Overwintering in Three Lagoons Along the Baja California Peninsula, Mexico". The data include: (1) body mass and morphological measurements from sport hunter harvested brant, and (2) census counts of brant in Bahia de San Quintin, (3) counts for flock age ratio determination, and (4) behavior. Child Item Two: "Black Brant (Branta bernicla nigricans) Radio Detection and Migration Timing Alaska to Mexico". Data from brant tagged with VHF radio transmitters in July 1999 on...

ScienceBase brings together the best information it can find about USGS researchers and offices to show connections to publications, projects, and data. We are still working to improve this process and information is by no means complete. If you don't see everything you know is associated with you, a colleague, or your office, please be patient while we work to connect the dots. Feel free to contact sciencebase@usgs.gov.
