Daily streamflow was simulated at 1,331 validation streamgages across the continental United States using both the drainage area ratio (DAR) method and nonlinear spatial interpolation using flow duration curves (QPPQ). Each simulation method was implemented using two index gage selection methods: nearest neighbor (NN) and map correlation (MC), resulting in a total of 4 daily streamflow simulations at each validation streamgage (NNDAR, MCDAR, NNQPPQ, MCQPPQ). Streamflow was simulated for the period of record matching the observed streamflows between September 1, 1980 through September 30, 2013. Empirical 95-percent confidence intervals were computed for daily streamflow estimates for each simulation method. Confidence...
ScienceBase brings together the best information it can find about USGS researchers and offices to show connections to publications, projects, and data. We are still working to improve this process and information is by no means complete. If you don't see everything you know is associated with you, a colleague, or your office, please be patient while we work to connect the dots. Feel free to contact sciencebase@usgs.gov.
