This data release contains the concentration and quality-assurance results for inorganic constituents, as well as organic compounds (volatile organic compounds [VOC], per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances [PFAS], pesticides and disinfection byproducts [DBP]) and microbiological results collected in the Little Big Horn River and residential or commercial tapwater locations in Montana. Twenty-two tapwater samples (six sourced from public supply and 14 sourced from private wells) and six surface-water samples were collected in Montana between August 8-10, 2022. Pharmaceuticals, VOC, and PFAS were analyzed at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL) in Denver, Colorado. Pesticides and...

Estimates of various low-flow statistics were computed at 56 ungaged stream locations throughout New Jersey during the 2023 water year using methods in the published reports, 1) Streamflow characteristics and trends in New Jersey, water years 1897-2003 (Watson and others, 2005) and 2) Implementation of MOVE.1, censored MOVE.1, and piecewise MOVE.1 low-flow regressions with applications at partial-record streamgaging stations in New Jersey (Colarullo and others, 2018). The estimates are computed as needed for use in water-resources permitting, assessment, and management by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The data release includes the stream name, location, drainage area, method of estimation,...

A third revision of the New Jersey Coastal Plain (NJCP) groundwater flow model, using MODFLOW-2005 (version 1.12.00), was completed to maintain the model’s usefulness for water-resource managment and development. The regional groundwater-flow model was initially developed for the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Regional Aquifer System Analysis (RASA) program. Periodic revision of the model is required as the result of changing hydrologic stresses, different and more complex water management needs, and increased knowledge of hydrologic conditions. The RASA model was initially constructed in the 1980’s as a quasi-3D model with 10 aquifers. The 9 intervening confining units were simulated using vertical leakage parameters...

Tapwater samples were obtained from groundwater sources on French Island, in the town of Campbell, Wisconsin. Samples from three locations were collected multiple times over a period of three days to assess temporal variations in water quality. Samples from an additional eight locations, were collected one time, spatially distributed around Campbell. Due to privacy concerns, the exact location of samples are anonymized. Concentration results for organic and inorganic contaminants and microbiology as well as quality-assurance results, are provided. Pesticides, pharmaceutical, volatile organic compounds, semivolatile organic compounds and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) were analyzed at the U.S. Geological...

This data release contains the concentration results for basic water-quality constituent class parameters (water temperature, pH, turbidity, and specific conductance), total nitrogen, total phosphorous, chloride, and trace elements in surface-water samples collected from two subsites within two vernal pools near Pleasant Grove, New Jersey in 2022-23. In the winter (December 2022 and February 2023) samples were collected at opposing ends of the ponds, or wherever ponding was sufficient for a sample to be taken. An additional sample was collected in July 2023 during the amphibian breeding season. The number of samples collected during each sampling event varied based on water availability and in July 2023 only one...
