Abundance, Growth, Mortality, and Habitat Use of Pallid and Shovelnose Sturgeon in the Lower Mississippi and Atchafalaya rivers This SSP project contributed to production of two reports and two publications. Pallid sturgeon Scaphirhynchus albus were captured from the Atchafalaya River System and implanted with ultrasonic transmitters and tracked with mobile receivers and sentinel (constantly recording) receivers to understand habitat use and movements.
