We propose to use GPLCC capacity funds to help create The Nebraska Conservation Science Partnership (NCSP), a cooperative effort among the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, the Rainwater Basin Joint Venture (RWBJV), and the Nebraska Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit (NCFWRU). This partnership will provide capacity to analyze climate data relative to impacts on fish and wildlife within the Great Plains LCC, integrate existing habitat assessments, model species-habitat relations, and evaluate the potential impacts of land use change management activities, initially focusing primarily on wetland habitats.
