Coastal change is an important issue for all coastal regions of the LCC Network, yet there are vast differences in the tools and information available across coastal regions. While the key uncertainties may differ across the Network, all coastal LCCs have been working to advance coastal resilience and adaptation. In some coastal areas, there are significant resources available to communities to understand coastal change and the discussions are now focused upon adaptation and incorporating natural resource considerations. This dataset consists of responses to a standardized, web-based survey of project principle investigators, end-users, and SE CASC leadership. 31 project PIs responded (97% response rate). We then surveyed potential users of the 28 remaining projects using Qualtrics and SE CASC leadership to garner information about project use. Potential users included employees from federal agencies, state agencies, universities, and nongovernmental organizations. From the 28 projects, we sent surveys to 208 users, of which, 81 responded (39% response rate) from 22 projects. The impacts from climate change are increasing the possibility of vulnerable coastal species and habitats crossing critical thresholds that could spur rapid and possibly irreversible changes. For species of high conservation concern, improved knowledge of quantitative thresholds could greatly improve management. To meet this need, we synthesized information pertaining to biological responses as tipping points to sea level rise (SLR) and coastal storms for 45 fish, wildlife, and plant species along the U.S. Atlantic and Gulf Coasts and Caribbean through a literature review and expert elicitation.
