Summary

Continuous 15-minute time-series suspended-sediment concentration data computed from instream turbidity data. Turbidity data is managed by California Department of Water Resources (CDWR) using a YSI EXO multi-parameter water quality sonde. Complete methods for turbidity data collection are described in attached methods document.

Purpose

Time-series SSC are needed to determine sediment transport in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, California. This data release includes the continuous 15-minute time-series suspended-sediment concentration data, Model Archive Summary (MAS), CDWR turbidity data, as well as calibration data. CDWR turbidity data were used to compute the SSC dataset. Cited publications are included in the MAS as well as all other supporting documentation to develop the regression model to calculate SSC from turbidity.
