Summary

The Arizona Geological Survey (AZGS) is committed to making its geologic products freely available online to a variety of consumers of geologic information and data. To this end, AZGS proposed two projects under the 2021-2022 National Geological and Geophysical Data Preservation Program (NGGDPP) to increase the availability of its data. First, AZGS converted 32 of its older geologic maps that existed only as PDF scans into modern digital geodatabases. Each of these preserved maps was then archived and re-published at the National Digital Catalog, University of Arizona Campus Repository, Arizona Geological Survey Repository, and National Geologic Map Database.
