Purpose

The data were collected for a meta-analysis of toxicity testing methods for Dreissena spp. mussels. We determined the degree to which standard protocols and guidelines have been used for Dreissena testing and their applicability to Dreissena. We further determined "best practices" for testing Dreissena and identified areas of weakness in test methods. The data can be used to guide the design of toxicity tests for all life stages of Dreissena spp. Further, the data provide information on the test conditions under which specific control agents were tested.
