Purpose

Data were collected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the testing of animals for highly pathogenic avian influenza and analyzed at the U.S. Geological Survey Alaska Science Center. Data can be used for deriving epidemiological inference pertaining to the occurrence and spread of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza among animals represented by the samples described herein.
