This software from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) identified as the Dam Removal Information Portal (DRIP) has not received USGS approval and as such is provisional and subject to revision. The software is released on the condition that neither the USGS nor the U.S. Government shall be held liable for any damages resulting from its authorized or unauthorized use.
The DRIP software was originally developed through a partnership with AppGeo and was licensed with the MIT open source license. Further modification to the software has been made by USGS software engineers but retains the MIT license and copyright to AppGeo per license requirements. Portions of the code available in the public code repository that are USGS contributions are considered public domain and free of license restrictions if pulled and re-used/modified individually.
