This dataset contains a select subset of Argos and GPS locations collected by satellite data collection systems from collared adult female polar bears that were instrumented in the southern Beaufort Sea between 1985-2015.

Purpose

These data were collected to gain insights into movements of southern Beaufort Sea polar bears. These data were collected from adult female polar bears who had dependent young at the time of their collar application and whose satellite-linked transmitters transmitted location data for at least 300 days.
