Summary
This dataset contain the final 6,298 water-level records that met all threshold criteria and had absolute residuals (ABS_PSEUDO_LEVRES) not exceeding 20 feet and exceeding the 99th percentile. This final dataset is considered a best representation of the true water levels in the aquifer.

Purpose
The purpose of these datasets is to apply a critical set of thresholds and statistical analysis to water-level records from the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources’ (LaDNR) Strategic Online Natural Resource Information System (SONRIS) for use in groundwater studies of the Chicot Aquifer. The thresholds and statistical analysis help to ensure the subset of water-level records extracted from the SONRIS database are a best representation of groundwater conditions in the aquifer.
