This data release is in partial fulfillment of an agreement between the U.S. Geological Survey and the University of California, Merced, related to a study funded through the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (PROPOSAL #: P1896056-01, TITLE: High Resolution Temporal and Spatial Mapping of Mercury in Surface Waters of the San Francisco Bay Delta), as part of the California Proposition 1 Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014. The overarching goal of this study was to develop models that can estimate surface-water concentrations of four mercury species (particulate and filter-passing fractions of THg and MeHg) using a trio of high-resolution water-quality data collection platforms. The data presented on this Child Page represents that associated with the continuous monitoring station, high temporal resolution (15-minute), data collection platform.
