Summary

Data release provides diffuse light attenuation coefficient of photosynthetically active radiation (KdPAR) derived from in-situ light measurements, along with surface water-quality and atmospheric data collected in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Rive Delta in California between January 2013 and May 2014. These associated surface level water-quality and atmospheric data, and categorical variables (for example season, region, etc.) were used to develop a KdPAR model using in situ light profile data collected in tandem, which we derived KdPAR from.

Purpose

Data were collected to evaluate spatial and temporal variability in surface water-quality and PAR across the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. Data were used to develop a model for estimating surface water KdPAR using common surface water-quality, environmental, and categorical data.
