Summary

Compilation of field data collected in the Oregon Coast Range Tyee Formation. Location, strike and dip, Relative composition and bed thickness of interbedded sandstone and siltstone, Schmidt Hammer stiffness, notes, and sampled landslide density are provided. Landslide density is calculated using the manually mapped landslide deposit polygons from LaHusen et al. (2020).

Purpose

These data were collected to assess the relationship between landslides within the Tyee formation and intra-unit variability of structural and material properties. Point measurements of bedding, siltstone and sandstone composition, and Schmidt hammer stiffness were used to generate spatial interpolations across a small section of the Tyee Formation. These data may be used to support future studies of the Tyee Formation that rely on these measured physical properties.
