This dataset includes a polygon vector shapefile that provides information pertaining to the sampling universe (i.e., the potential sampling units within the study area) from which rapid surveys were selected. Plots containing >60% clear and turbid water, >60% mudflat/sandbar, >50% unsuitable vegetated habitats (i.e., forested, tall shrub, and alpine dwarf shrub), >5% unsuitable non-vegetated habitats (i.e., rock gravel, urban, snow/ice, burn, streams), or >5% image obstruction (e.g., cloud, terrain shadow) were excluded. Information for each potential sampling unit includes location, percentage of habitat classifications (obtained from Ducks Unlimited, Inc. 2011. Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge Earth Cover Classification User’s Guide. Ducks Unlimited, Inc., Western Regional Office, Rancho Cordova, CA, USA), ownership, and stratum.
