This collection of files contains raw location data for shorebirds tagged with tracking devices and can be found in the raw data folder.
Directories include: Argos_REPH, Argos_WHIM, GPS_PESA_AMGP_WHIM, and Pinpoint_SESA_DUNL.
Argos_REPH: contains raw location data for Red Phalaropes equipped with 2-gram solar PTT tags manufactured by Microwave Telemetry, Inc in 2019 and 2020. Raw data files include annual PRV/A DS data files downloaded from the Argos website (http://argos-system.org) (.txt files) as well as data automatically downloaded by the Movebank website (www.movebank.org) (.csv file). Also included are data files (.kml and .txt files) obtained from processing the raw PRV/A DS data files with the Microwave MTI Argos-GPS Parser. These processed files are organized within folders by Argos tag ID with each filename for the processed files including the Argos tag ID.
Argos_WHIM: contains raw location data for Whimbrel equipped with Solar PTT Argos 30 hour duty cycle tags manufactured by Microwave Telemetry, Inc in 2021 and 2022. Raw data files include annual PRV/A DS data files downloaded from the Argos website (http://argos-system.org) (.txt files) as well as data automatically downloaded by the Movebank website (www.movebank.org) (.csv file; note that these files also includes GPS location data for PESA, AMGP, and WHIM tagged from 2018-2022 [see below]). Also included are data files (.kml and .txt files) obtained from processing the raw PRV/A DS data files with the Microwave MTI Argos-GPS Parser. These processed files are organized within folders by Argos tag ID with each filename for the processed files including the Argos tag ID. As some tags transmitted for more than 1 year, files are organized by year.
GPS_PESA_AMGP_WHIM: contains raw location data for Pectoral Sandpipers, American Golden-plovers, and Whimbrels equipped with Pinpoint GPS tags manufactured by Lotek Wireless from 2018-2022. Raw data files include annual PRV DS data files downloaded from the Argos website (http://argos-system.org) (multiple .txt files with Argos program number and year included in file name) as well as data automatically downloaded by the Movebank website (www.movebank.org) (one .csv file for all years; note that these files also includes Argos location data for WHIM tagged from 2021-2022 [see above]). Also included are data files (one .csv file per individual with all file names including Argos tag ID) obtained from processing the raw PRV DS data files with the Lotek Argos-GPS Data Processor V3.18 (2018-2021) or V4.2 (2022).
Pinpoint_SESA_DUNL: contains raw location data for Semipalmated Sandpipers and Dunlin equipped with Pinpoint 10 GPS Swift tags manufactured by Lotek wireless in 2017. Raw data files are organized in folders by Argos tag ID and include data files downloaded directly from devices (i.e., .obs, .psr, and info .txt files), as well as data files obtained from processing the raw data files with PinPoint Host 2.12.3.27 (.kml and .txt files). Each filename includes the Argos tag ID.
