This data release includes hourly water temperature data at 12 locations in the main stem of the Quinault River and its major tributaries, and data from a riparian vegetation survey conducted in the lower Quinault River, Washington. Water temperature data was collected during the summer of 2018 and 2019 at most locations. Variable collection periods by site are described within the dataset. Riparian vegetation surveys were conducted during the summer of 2018.

This data release provides the results of the bathymetric survey of the Similkameen River directly above Enloe Dam which took place over three days in late September 2020. The bathymetric survey was completed to enable an instrument-based estimate of the volume of legacy sediment impounded behind Enloe Dam. A shoreline water level survey collected points at the river’s edge using Trimble R8 GNSS Receivers. Safety requirements directly upstream of the dam made a ground survey infeasible, thus shoreline points were inferred from the National Agricultural Imagery Program (NAIP) 2015 imagery corrected to Okanogan County lidar. The study area polygon was constructed from the shoreline points with a 0.5m buffer applied....

This data release includes time series data of stage, water velocity and water quality parameters at multiple locations in the tidally-influenced reaches of the Nisqually River and McAllister Creek, and tidal channels of the Nisqually River Delta. In total, time series data were collected at multiple sites from February 11, 2016 to March 19, 2018 during separate but generally overlapping periods over a range of tidal and hydrologic conditions for augmenting hydrodynamic models that will be used to inform river delta restoration alternatives. Time series data were collected at 10 sites in the study area: 3 sites in the lower Nisqually River, defined here as the tidally-influenced reach downstream from Mounts Road;...

Optical spectra reported here are collected from 17 surface water sampling sites within the Fraser River, a headwaters drainage of the Upper Colorado River Basin in the central western United States. The sample collection was conducted as part of the partnership between the United States Geological Survey’s (USGS) Next Generation Water Observation System (NGWOS) and Proxies Project, in coordination with the USGS Colorado Water Science Center and California Water Science Center, and the East Grand Water Quality Board.
