Amur honeysuckle bush (Lonicera maackii) and Morrow's honeysuckle (Lonicera morrowii) are two of the most aggressively invasive species to become established throughout areas along the Blue River in metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri. These two large, spreading shrubs (locally referred to as bush honeysuckle in the Kansas City metropolitan area) colonize the understory, crowd out native plants, and may be allelopathic, producing a chemical that restricts growth of native species. Removal efforts have been underway for more than a decade by local conservation groups such as Bridging The Gap and Heartland Conservation Alliance, who are concerned with the loss of native species diversity associated with the spread...

Beaver Lake was constructed in 1966 on the White River in the northwest corner of Arkansas for flood control, hydroelectric power, public water supply, and recreation. The surface area of Beaver Lake is about 27,900 acres and approximately 449 miles of shoreline are at the conservation pool level (1,120 feet above the North American Vertical Datum of 1988). Sedimentation in reservoirs can result in reduced water storage capacity and a reduction in usable aquatic habitat. Therefore, accurate and up-to-date estimates of reservoir water capacity are important for managing pool levels, power generation, water supply, recreation, and downstream aquatic habitat. Many of the lakes operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers...

This dataset includes single point airflow monitoring data collected with an ultrasonic anemometer (velocity and direction) recorded at five selected locations in a commercial cave in Greene County, Missouri. The data was collected as part of a larger effort to monitor air contamination in commercial caves by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

This dataset includes airflow monitoring data using an ultrasonic anemometer (velocity and direction), manual check measurements at three locations in the borehole using a handheld hotwire anemometer, and temperature data recorded adjacent to a 22 inch borehole at a commercial cave in Greene County, Missouri. The borehole was drilled to supplement primary ventilation for the cave, and this data documents the airflow into and out of the borehole, as well as the temperature of outside air. This data was collected as part of a larger effort to monitor air quality in Missouri commercial caves by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

This dataset includes airflow monitoring data (velocity and direction) and temperature data recorded at several locations in a commercial cave in Greene County, Missouri. These data were collected as part of a larger effort by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to monitor air quality in Missouri commercial caves. The data set includes single-point airflow measurements using an ultrasonic anemometer at five locations within the cave. Airflow measurements using an ultrasonic anemometer and manual check measurements using a handheld hotwire anemometer also were made in a 22-inch diameter vent shaft upcave (further from the entrance) of the commercial tour route. In addition, outside air temperature also was...
