This dataset is part of the National Water Census ongoing development of best estimates of daily historical water budgets for over 100,000 hydrologic units across the United States. In this release, estimates of total flow and snowmelt for each hydrologic unit are added to the already released estimates of actual evapotranspiration, snowpack water-equivalent storage, soil moisture, recharge, streamflow, and precipitation. All these estimates are made available per twelve-digit hydrologic unit code watershed as contained in the NHDPlus v2.1 dataset and associated Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD) snapshot. As this project progresses, it is expected that a complete closed water budget generated from the same water...

The Geospatial Fabric is a dataset of spatial modeling units for use within the National Hydrologic Model that covers the conterminous United States (CONUS), Alaska, and most major river basins that flow in from Canada. This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release consists of the geospatial fabric features and other related datasets created to expand the National Hydrologic Model to Hawaii. This page contains data and information related to the GIS features of the Geospaital Fabric for National Hydrologic Model, Hawaii domain. An Open Geospatial Consortium geopackage (GF_20.gpkg) contains 4 feature layers (names in parentheses): points of interest (poi), a stream network (nsegment), aggregated catchments (catchment),...

This dataset contains modeled hourly streamflow at each about eighteen thousand selected operational and water quality stream gage locations. It was assembled from publicly available retrospective and operational V1.2 National Water Model outputs. The streamflow variable was extracted from model output files and the data were reshaped to optimize read performance. The stream gage locations were derived from several ongoing USGS projects using gages for evaluation of streamflow, water quality, and real-time monitoring however only National Water Model identifiers and NHDPlus catchment outlet locations are used to identify model results. Relationships between NWIS gages and National Water Model prediction locations...
