Natural Resource Data Analysis Tools include virtual tools and systems used to visualize and analyze data for natural resource management and landscape analysis. These cataloged tools were identified by the Toolshed Team, which is a member of the Integrated Data Management Network (IDMN). IDMN was tasked with identifying and advancing tools deemed useful for natural resource management activities of various Landscape Conservation Cooperatives.
For landscape-level analyses to succeed, researchers need data portals and catalogs to interact at many levels. This way users can discover and use distributed science products.
The grant’s objectives include expansion of the LandScope Chesapeake system to support and promote the shared objectives of the Chesapeake Conservation Partnership, of which North Atlantic LCC and NatureServe are active members.

The North Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative provides a partnership in which the private, state, tribal and federal conservation community works together to address increasing land use pressures and widespread resource threats and uncertainties amplified by a rapidly changing climate. The partners and partnerships in the cooperative address these regional threats and uncertainties by agreeing on common goals for land, water, fish, wildlife, plant and cultural resources and jointly developing the scientific information and tools needed to prioritize and guide more effective conservation actions by partners toward those goals.
A mission of the Science Applications program of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is to provide a partnership where the conservation community can guide more effective conservation actions in the face of resource threats amplified by a rapidly changing climate. This project is coordinated by the Science Application’s Rapid Response Team. Surveys were initially conducted in 2022 from New Jersey to Florida and west to Louisiana.
