This data release contains hourly means of climatological data collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from 10/1/1991 to 9/30/2019 at three weather stations in the Loch Vale watershed in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), Colorado. This dataset accompanies the publication, 'In situ LA-ICPMS U-Pb dating of cassiterite without a known-age matrix-matched reference material: Examples from worldwide tin deposits spanning the Proterozoic to Tertiary', published in Chemical Geology (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.chemgeo.2018.03.008), which reports a LA-ICPMS analytical procedure for dating cassiterite, a main ore mineral in tin deposits, with no need for an independently dated matrix-matched cassiterite standard.

A vented conductivity, temperature and depth sensor (CTD, InSitu Aqua Troll) was installed at site NR1 (N 47° 04’ 16.1”/W 122° 42’ 15.5”) and continuously measured water temperature, water depth, specific conductance, and salinity at 15-minute intervals from February 11, 2016 to July 18, 2016 (159 days). The sensor was replaced with a vented water-level logger (InSitu Level Troll) on July 19, 2016 and deployed until March 19, 2018 (608 days). The site is tidally influenced and located approximately 4.1 km upstream from the mouth of the Nisqually River and within the tidal prism. This release is an update to the online "Quaternary fault and fold database" for Washington State. The online database was last updated for Washington in 2014 – this 2020 update includes newly identified and modified traces and geometries for on-shore faults gleaned from new peer-reviewed studies and mapping of active faults within the state of Washington. These data contain lines representing the location of faults with known or suspected Quaternary (<1,600,000 yrs) activity in the state of Washington. The travel time map was generated using the Pedestrian Evacuation Analyst model from the USGS (https://geography.wr.usgs.gov/science/vulnerability/tools.html). The travel time analysis uses ESRI's Path Distance tool to find the shortest distance across a cost surface from any point in the hazard zone to a safe zone. This cost analysis considers the direction of movement and assigns a higher cost to steeper slopes, based on a table contained within the model. The analysis also adds in the energy costs of crossing different types of land cover, assuming that less energy is expended walking along a road than walking across a sandy beach. The U.S. Geological Survey collected field spectra collected from three rivers in Alaska September 19–21, 2016, to support research on remote sensing of river discharge. Reflectance measurements were made from bridges across the Chena River, Salcha River, and Montana Creek using an Analytical Spectral Devices FieldSpec3 spectroradiometer operated in reflectance mode. The original *.asd files are provided in this data release. This data release contains information to support water quality modeling in the Delaware River Basin (DRB). These data support both process-based and machine learning approaches to water quality modeling, including the prediction of stream temperature. This section provides spatial data files that describe the rivers, reservoirs, and observational data in the Delaware River Basin included in this release. One shapefile of polylines describes the 459 river reaches that define the modeling network, and another shapefile of polygons includes the three reservoirs (Pepacton, Cannonsville, and Neversink) for which data are included in this release. From 2013 to 2015, bathymetric surveys of New York City’s six West of Hudson reservoirs (Ashokan, Cannonsville, Neversink, Pepacton, Rondout, and Schoharie) were performed to provide updated capacity tables and bathymetric maps. Depths were surveyed with a single-beam echo sounder and real-time kinematic global positioning system (RTK-GPS) along planned transects at predetermined intervals for each reservoir. A separate set of echo sounder data was collected along transects at oblique angles to the main transects for accuracy assessment. A vented water-level logger was installed at site MC1 (N 47° 05’ 12.2”/W 122° 43’ 36.8”) and continuously measured water depth and temperature at 15-minute intervals from Nov 22, 2016 to Sept 6, 2017 (288 days). This site is tidally influenced and located 1.12 km from the mouth of McAllister Creek. Elevation (NAVD88) of the water surface above the sensor was surveyed by RTN-GPS. The offset to convert all water depth time-series data to water surface elevation (NAVD88) is -1.052 m. Water depth ranged from 0.69 to 4.88 m. Temperature ranged from 2.8 to 22.5 degrees C.

This publication provides digital flight line data for a high-resolution horizontal magnetic gradient and radiometric survey over the Ironton, Missouri area of southeast Missouri. Data were collected using a fixed wing aircraft with magnetometers mounted in the tail stinger and each wing tip pod and a fully calibrated gamma ray spectrometer. The survey operated out of the Farmington, Missouri airport during January to mid-February of 2016. The survey covers an irregularly shaped region within a 54 x 53 square-kilometer area centered on the town of Ironton, Missouri. The Harrat Rahat volcanic field, located in the west-central part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is the largest of 15 harrats (Arabic for 'volcanic field') hosted within the Arabian plate. Harrat Rahat is 50 to 75 km wide (east-west) and 300 km long (north-south), covering an area of approximately 20,000 square kilometers and encompassing more than 900 observable vents. The overall map area and its dataset show the volcanic geology of the northern part (about 3,340 square kilometers) of Harrat Rahat, at a scale of 1:75,000. Discharge and suspended sediment data were collected from October 2016 to Febuary 2017 at the NR0 site. Data was collected immediately down stream of Old Pacific Hwy SE bridge during a bridge measurement and approximately 100 meters below bridge for a boat measurement. Data collection from the bridge has been ongoing since 1968 but data collection from a boat was first attempted October 21, 2016 during this data collection series. Suspended sediment sample and discrete discharge data at this site are available at: https://waterdata.usgs.gov/wa/nwis/inventory/?site_no=12090240&agency_cd=USGS&.
