These heatmaps show a top 3 stressor or service, as ranked by participants, and the concentration of participants who reported as working in each municipality or county who also voted for that stressor or service across the landscape. This map shows the percentage of participants from each county and municipality who ranked Discharge of Untreated Wastewater as a top 3 ecosystem stressor in the Riparian Habitat Fragmentation and Lossl category in their region. Symbology represents the percentage of participants with 0% = dark green, 0.0001 % - 24.99% = light green, 25% - 49.99% = yellow, 50% - 74.99% = orange, 75% - 100% = red. All counties and municipalities identified by participants as areas where they work were...

These data were created as part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Coastal Services Center's efforts to create an online mapping viewer depicting potential sea level rise and its associated impacts on the nation's coastal areas. The purpose of the mapping viewer is to provide coastal managers and scientists with a preliminary look at sea level rise (slr) and coastal flooding impacts. The viewer is a screening-level tool that uses nationally consistent data sets and analyses.Data and maps provided can be used at several scales to help gauge trends and prioritize actions for different scenarios. The Sea Level Rise and Coastal Flooding Impacts Viewer may be accessed at: http://www.csc.noaa.gov/slr...

This dataset depicts vegetation and land cover for Klamath Marsh NWR. It was created using eCognition software and multiple sources of imagery. Field data were also collected at two different time to assist with image interpretation/classification. Details: This dataset was created by interpreting and classifying multiple image sources. These include: July 2005 2.5 meter Quickbird multispectral imagery, July 2005 ASTER 15 meter multispectral imagery, July 2006 Landsat 30 meter multispectral imagery, and December 2005 ASTER 15 meter multispectral imagery. Images were loaded into eCognition software which created polygons based on areas with similar image features. Statistics were then created for each polygon based...

The Hydrology Polygon Feature Class defines areas of open water features on RSL. The polygon feature class is composed of National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) Plus Polygons and where the NHD Plus layer was insufficient, water bodies were digitized from 2010 National Agricultural Inventory Program (NAIP) 10 meter aerial imagery.

The polygon feature class is composed of National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) Plus Polygons and where the NHD Plus layer was insufficient, water bodies were digitized from 2010 National Agricultural Inventory Program (NAIP) 1 meter aerial imagery. Areas of open water are known to fluctuate based on rainfall and other factors, and therefore this dataset may not be accurate for other time periods.

Soils data compiled from USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service, SSURGO data, then clipped to the refuge boundary. Some of the attributes have been added to the dataset, but not the complete set. For additional attributes, consult the full SSURGO data. This feature estimates the geographic extent of the sagebrush biome in the United States. It was created for the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agency’s (WAFWA) Sagebrush Conservation Strategy publication as a visual for the schematic figures. This layer does not represent the realized distribution of sagebrush and should not be used to summarize statistics about the distribution or precise location of sagebrush across the landscape. This layer is intended to generalize the sagebrush biome distribution using Landsat derived classified vegetation rasters (Rigge at al. 2019), Bureau of Land Management-designated Habitat Management Areas, state-designated Priority Areas for Conservation for sage-grouse, the...

Shallow subsurface electrical conductivity was mapped at selected U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service managed lands in northeast Montana and northwest North Dakota using the DUALEM421 electromagnetic sensor (Dualem, Inc., ON, Canada) in the winters of 2017 and 2018. Data were acquired by towing the DUALEM421 sensor on a sled behind an all-terrain vehicle or snow machine, with the sensor at a nominal height of 0.3 meters (m) above ground surface. Approximately 427 line-kilometers (km) of data were acquired over an area of nearly 26 square-kilometers. Data were manually edited to remove sensor dropouts, lag corrected for apparent offsets between recorded GPS location and data locations for each coil pair, and averaged...

We summarize available information on Pacific walrus haulouts from available reports, interviews with coastal residents and aviators, and personal observations of the authors. We provide this in the form of a georeferenced database that may be queried and displayed with standard geographic information system and database management software. The database contains 150 records of Pacific walrus haulouts, with a summary of basic characteristics on maximum haulout size, age-sex composition, season of use, and decade of most recent use. Citations to reports are provided as a bibliographic database.

Vegetation and land cover data for Upper Klamath NWR. This dataset is based on interpretation of 2014 near-infrared imagery produced by the National Aerial Imagery Program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture with input on the general vegetation composition provided by local refuge staff. Field data at the species level were not available and further work is needed to refine this product to meet the convention of the National Vegetation Classification System. In addition, no validation was performed on this dataset.
