EaglePermitZone_wgs84 Categories: Data; Types: Downloadable, Map Service, OGC WFS Layer, OGC WMS Layer, Shapefile USFWS Eagle Incidental Take Permit Eligibility Zones for Wind Energy Projects This map shows where wind projects in the coterminous U.S. are eligible to apply for a wind energy general permit or a wind energy specific permit under the USFWS Eagle Incidental Take Rule (Permits for Incidental Take of Eagles and Eagle Nests; 89 FR 9920;) and final Environmental Assessment. Wind facilities are eligible for a general permit or a specific permit based, in part, on eagle abundance information. Existing projects that are only eligible for specific permits may be determined to qualify for a general permit upon Service review of their permit application.
