The Forest Service's West Wide Climate Change GeoBrowser is an online map viewer that displays GIS layers from the Climate Impacts Group's 2011 climate projections. The web site also offers a downloadable map document (MXD file) that lets users view the layers as map services in ArcMAP. Note: there is a significant portion of the Southern Rockies LCC that is not included in these data sets (parts of Colorado and New Mexico). The Climate Impacts Group's study covers four river basins (the Colorado River, Great Basin, Columbia River and Upper Missouri River Basins).

The WISDOM map viewer displays GIS layers about wildlife and habitat priorities in Wyoming. There are 9 GIS layers about land use, including housing development, agriculture and energy development. WISDOM (Wyoming Interagency Spatial Database and Online Management) is one of the state CHATs (Crucial Habitat Assessment Tools) created through an initiative from the Western Governors' Association.

Link to Data in Data Basin. These data sets from the California Academy of Sciences show climate projections (temperature and precipitation) for all four seasons. From the California Academy of Sciences' metadata (for a precipitation projection): Using the simple anomaly method (modifying a historical baseline with differences or ratios projected by General Circulation Models), scientists from the California Academy of Sciences downscaled monthly total precipitation from 16 different global circulation models (GCMs). The GCMs were described in the latest Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC 2007) and archived at the WCRP PCMDI ( http://www-pcmdi.llnl.gov/ipcc/about_ipcc.php). Monthly total precipitation...

The Colorado Plateau Rapid Ecoregional Assessment (REA) website has links to the components of the final report. Appendix C, titled Wildlife Species Conservation Elements, contains analyses and maps of species distribution and vulnerability to change agents (potential for change in near term and long term). There are also additional sage-grouse and tamarisk inserts in the appendices section of the report. Data from the report, including maps of species distributions, are shared through the Colorado Plateau REA Data Portal . Data portal maps are downloadable and can be viewed through map services and ArcGIS.com. Analyses were completed for the following species: Black-footed ferret (Mustela nigripes) Desert...

Link to Arizona's HabiMap viewer, which displays GIS layers relating to wildlife and habitat conservation. There are three layers showing grazing allotments, covering land managed by the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Forest Service and the Arizona State Land Department.
Description from http://scenarios.globalchange.gov: "On these pages you will find information about and access to a suite of climate and other scenarios produced as input to the U.S. National Climate Assessment. There are documents, graphics, references to data sets, and other resources that have been prepared to depict a range of plausible future conditions against which risks, vulnerability, and opportunities can be assessed at regional and national scale. In addition to providing input to the National Climate Assessment, these scenarios are designed to be useful to a variety of other users including researchers, technical report teams, and decision makers. Over the next several years, we expect to evolve the...

From http://gapanalysis.usgs.gov/species/: "GAP's Species data includes vertebrate range maps and distribution models for amphibians, birds, mammals, and reptiles occurring in the U.S. These kinds of maps and data are fundamental to conservation planning, forecasting (e.g., climate change), and research." Download data (http://gapanalysis.usgs.gov/species/data/download/), view data in the GAP Species Viewer (http://gapanalysis.usgs.gov/species/viewer/) or access web services (http://gapanalysis.usgs.gov/species/data/web-map-services/)

From USFWS service description: "This data service identifies, in general, the areas where final critical habitat exist for species that are endangered or threatened. Special protections and/or restrictions are possible in areas where federal funding, permits, licenses, authorizations or actions occur or are required. Critical habitat are areas considered essential for the conservation of a listed species. These areas provide notice to the public and land managers the importance of these areas to the conservation of the species." The data can be downloaded in a shapefile, viewed on the Fish and Wildlife Service's map viewer, or accessed through a web service. It's also possible to view the data through the ScienceBase...
The Nature Conservancy's Priority Conservation Areas and Targets can be viewed through their interactive map viewer or downloaded as a shapefile (select the download button in the upper right corner of the interactive map viewer). Description of data from http://uspriorityareas.tnc.org/: "The Nature Conservancy has been a leader in spatial conservation planning for many years. The primary planning tool used by the Conservancy for landscape-scale conservation planning over the past decade has been Ecoregional Assessments. Our United States Ecoregional Assessments identify priority areas for conservation within the United States. This includes data from 67 Ecoregional Assessments, which identified over 9,000 conservation...

The Colorado Plateau Rapid Ecoregional Assessment (REA) website contains links to the final report. Data from the report are shared through the Colorado Plateau REA Data Portal . Data portal maps are downloadable and many can be viewed through map services and ArcGIS.com. Climate Change is one of the change agents addressed in the assessment. Many of the climate projection maps cover the western U.S., not only the area of the Colorado Plateau. Here is a small sample of the maps available: Average Annual Temperature (1968-1999) from PRISM (Western US) Average Annual Temperature (2015-2030) Simulated by RegCM3 with ECHAM5 Projections as Boundary Conditions (Western US) Average Annual Total Precipitation...

Link to publication: http://www.usbr.gov/lc/region/programs/crbstudy.html: “The Bureau of Reclamation's Upper Colorado and Lower Colorado Regions, in collaboration with representatives of the seven Colorado River Basin States ( non-federal Cost Share Partners), submitted a proposal in June 2009 to fund the "Colorado River Basin Water Supply and Demand Study" under Reclamation's Basin Study Program. In September 2009, the Study was selected for funding. The Study, which began in January 2010, was completed in December 2012. It defines current and future imbalances in water supply and demand in the Colorado River Basin and the adjacent areas of the Basin States that receive Colorado River water for approximately...

The Conservation Biology Institute (CBI) manages a version of the PAD-US database and distributes the data set as PAD-US (CBI Edition), Version 2. The 2010 version of PAD-US CBI Edition (version 1) contains both fee lands and easements. The 2012 version 2 contains fee lands only, and is meant to be used in combination with the National Conservation Easement Database (NCED) (ScienceBase Link). The other difference between the two editions is that there have been full updates to 13 states (including Arizona and Colorado).

Link to view Critical Watersheds data in LandScope map viewer (or select "Access", then "Web Links"). This GIS layer shows areas where NatureServe's rarity-weighted richness (RWR) analysis of imperiled and critically imperiled species has identified hot-spots, or high-priority locations. Click on "map key and credits" button in LandScope to view metadata.
These are web links to a folder in Data Basin, containing simulations of future vegetation types. From the description in Data Basin: "The dynamic global vegetation model MC1 was run for the North American continent using historical and future climate projections to simulate vegetation shifts, carbon gains and losses, hydrological flows, and wildfires. This work has not been published yet and should be considered as not peer reviewed. Note that we have added a file as an attachment to this gallery to provide the list of vegetation types that are simulated by the vegetation model and the category number that is associated with each type. When using the identify tool this will be useful to match number and name...
