Long-term data preservation strategy for coal and coal-related materials Because Indiana has significant resources of coal, coal waste, and coal combustion products that are potential resources of critical minerals, this project developed a data preservation strategy for these coal related materials. Rare Earth Elements (REE) are the principal groups of critical minerals considered in this data preservation project, and our strategy for data preservation is to develop databases for individual groups of coal and coal-related materials. When completed, these databases will be combined under an inteactive application that will allow users to quickly locate selected sites and learn which data are available.
