Natural resource managers and researchers often need long-term averages of historical and future climate scenarios for their study area yet may not have the resources to make these summaries. This project will provide high quality, detailed maps of historical and projected future climate and hydrologic conditions for California and a finer scale version for southern California. The project will also assess the feasibility of expanding these reference data to the southwestern US and identify the most suitable online data portals for the public to view and analyze the data in support of local initiatives. The map products can be used to assess the impacts of ongoing climate change and to develop climate adaptation...

This data set includes: 1) A shapefile of the Humboldt Bay Eel River (HBER) 13 sub watersheds, 2) A shape file of the streamflow gages used in calibration, and 3) Daily Basin Characterization Model (BCM) model climate inputs (minimum and maximum air temperature, precipitation, and potential evapotranspiration) and outputs of recharge and runoff for the year 2010 used to develop streamflow estimates at 12 gage locations.

This dataset contains the model outputs from the daily Hydrological Simulation Program - FORTRAN (HSPF) model of the Sacramento River Basin, including streamflow and sediment time series from water years 1981-2099. Streamflow time series data are in cubic feet per second, sediment loads are in tons per day, and suspended sediment concentrations are in milligrams per liter.

This digital dataset contains the climate data used for the Lower Salinas Valley Hydrologic Models (Salinas Valley Integrated Hydrologic Model (SVIHM) and Salinas Valley Operational Model (SVOM)). The monthly climate data for the Lower Salinas Valley Hydrologic Models are based on the regional climate data for the Salinas Valley Hydrologic System [Hevesi and others, 2022]. To develop the monthly climate grids, the regional climate data were resampled to a monthly timescale and area weighted to the model grid. The climate data include spatially distributed monthly precipitation and potential evapotranspiration for the model grid for October 1967 to September 2018.

This data release contains monthly 270-meter gridded Basin Characterization Model (BCMv8) climate inputs and hydrologic outputs for Santa Clara River Valley South Bay (SCVSB). Gridded climate inputs include: precipitation (ppt), minimum temperature (tmn), maximum temperature (tmx), and potential evapotranspiration (pet). Gridded hydrologic variables include: actual evapotranspiration (aet), climatic water deficit (cwd), snowpack (pck), recharge (rch), runoff (run), and soil storage (str). The units for temperature variables are degrees Celsius, and all other variables are in millimeters. Monthly historical variables from water years 1896 to 2019 are summarized into water year files and long-term average summaries...
