Land Cover Data Benthic/Substrate Mapping & Analysis Data Analysis: LTRM The Long Term Resource Monitoring (LTRM) element is one of two components of the federally mandated Upper Mississippi River Restoration (UMRR) Program, a cooperative program between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the states of Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin. Data release products listed below are associated with the analysis of LTRM data and LTRM staff publications. Birds of the Floodplain Forest: Mississippi River Additional resources associated with UMESC's avian ecology projects are availalbe in the ScienceBase sections listed in the 'Related External Resources' section of this Web page. Aquatic Areas The Aquatic Area data sets were created by the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center to identify areas of similar aquatic habitat, based primarily on large-scale geomorphic characteristics.
