Water-borne towed transient electromagnetic method, commonly referred to as FloaTEM, was acquired along a single survey track on the Ouachita River during October 2018. During the survey, 39.75 line-kilometers were collected near Blankston, Louisiana study area. Data were collected by members of the U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrogeophysics Branch, and Lower-Mississippi Gulf Science Center and the Aarhus University Hydrogeophysics Group. FloaTEM data acquired along the approximately 40 line kilometers of the Ouachita River in Caldwell County, in Louisiana, were collected to characterize the subsurface resistivity structure in support of a U.S. Geological Survey groundwater investigation of the Mississippi Alluvial...

Water-borne towed transient electromagnetic method, commonly referred to as FloaTEM, was acquired along a single survey track on the Big Sunflower River during October 2018. During the survey, approximately 8.89 line-kilometers were collected in Sunflower County near Indianola, Mississippi. Data were collected by members of the U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrogeophysics Branch, and Lower-Mississippi Gulf Science Center and the Aarhus University Hydrogeophysics Group. FloaTEM data acquired along the approximately 8.9 line kilometers were collected to characterize the subsurface resistivity structure in support of a U.S. Geological Survey groundwater investigation of the Mississippi Alluvial Plain. FloaTEM data were...
Water-borne towed transient electromagnetic method, commonly referred to as FloaTEM, was acquired along a single survey track on the Ouachita River during October 2018. During the survey, 56.35 line-kilometers were collected near Columbia, Louisiana study area. Data were collected by members of the U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrogeophysics Branch, and Lower-Mississippi Gulf Science Center and the Aarhus University Hydrogeophysics Group. FloaTEM data acquired along the approximately 56.4 line kilometers of the Ouachita River in Caldwell Parish, in Louisiana, were collected to characterize the subsurface resistivity structure in support of a U.S. Geological Survey groundwater investigation of the Mississippi Alluvial...
This data release has three components for each of the eight stream lengths: 1) a geospatial dataset of the processed data; 2) tabular data of the processed waterborne resistivity profiling data and associated water-quality data; 3) tabular data of the raw waterborne resistivity data and associated water-quality data. In fresh water aquifers, the geoelectric resistivity of earth materials commonly has a positive correlation with hydraulic conductivity (Faye and Smith, 1994). Throughout 2017, continuous resistivity profiling data were collected, as a proxy for streambed hydraulic conductivity, along reaches of eight streams in the Mississippi Alluvial Plain of Mississippi, Arkansas, and Missouri. A total of...
