This is a spatially-explicit state-and-transition simulation model (STSM) of sagebrush-steppe vegetation dynamics for greater sage-grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus) Priority Areas for Conservation (PACs) in the Great Basin. The STSM was built using the ST-Sim platform and uses an integrated stock-flow submodel (STSM-SF) to simulate and track continuous vegetation component cover changes caused by annual growth, natural regeneration, and post-fire sagebrush seeding and planting restoration. We investigated the behavior of feral horses (Equus caballus) at Conger Herd Management Area (HMA), UT, and of burros (Equus asinus) at Lake Pleasant HMA, AZ, and Sinbad HMA, UT between 2016 and 2020 (Sinbad HMA 2016 to 2019; Conger and Lake Pleasant HMAs 2017 to 2020). The dataset is comprised of historical observations and predictions of winter colony counts at known sites for three bat species (little brown bat, Myotis lucifugus; tricolored bat, Perimyotis subflavus; and big brown bat, Eptesicus fuscus). Intense precipitation following the June 2011 Las Conchas Fire in the Jemez Mountains, New Mexico, led to widespread debris flows in the watershed of Rito de los Frijoles in Bandelier National Monument. Sediment eroded by these debris flows was transported along Rito de los Frijoles during floods in 2011 and 2013. This dataset contains two tabular files and one raster digital file.
