This digital raster dataset represents depth to pre-Cenozoic bedrock in northern Nevada as published in Chapter 6: Geophysical Methods and Application in U.S. Geological Survey Bulletin 2218, Assessment of Metallic and Mineral Resources in the Humboldt River Basin, Northern Nevada by D.A. Ponce. The data are represented on figure 6-9 in this publication and were later provided as raster format geospatial digital data via written communication from D.A. Ponce in 2007. The data have been reprojected but are otherwise as provided. A thorough explanation of the production methods is available in the larger work.
This data release contains two tabular data sets of water-quality data collected on the East Fork Carson River. EFCR_CQW.xlsx is a Microsoft Excel workbook containing continuous water-quality data collected by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) at a site on the East Fork Carson River over two time periods in 2010 and 2012. Data were collected at U.S. Geological Survey site number 385755119473704, East Fork Carson River near Muller Lane downstream transect, also referred to as "SDT" in the larger work. Stream temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and specific conductance were measured at 5 to 10 minute intervals from August 3-September 29, 2010 and from July 20-August 17, 2012. EFCR_StreamProfiles.xlsx...
This data release consists of a ZIP file that includes: two Excel workbooks, detailed metadata files, and data directories. The Hydraulic Properties Database (HPD; Table-of-AQtests.xlsm) is an interactive Excel workbook that catalogues single-well, aquifer-test results at Pahute Mesa and vicinity. Results from 1,459 single-well, aquifer-test analyses are uniquely identified to 360 tested wells. The Integrated Borehole Workbook (Borehole_Index_PM.xlsm) is an interactive Excel workbook that presents integrated results from slug tests and pumping aquifer tests that took place in 17 boreholes in Pahute Mesa and vicinity from 1962 to 2013. The Metadata folder has detailed metadata.xml files for both Excel workbooks....
This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release consists of a spreadsheet presenting high-frequency water levels in feet below a measuring point (MP) at Devils Hole in Nye County, Nevada. Water-level data are collected at USGS site 362532116172701 by the National Park Service, using a data logger programmed to collect water-level every 15 minutes or every 5 seconds when a water-level change greater than 0.015 feet is detected. Data are analyzed, approved, and audited according to USGS standards as described in U.S. Geological Survey Office of Surface Water memo 2017.10. Continuous 15-minute data are published in the National Water Information System (NWIS) database. Irregular periods of 5-second data collected during...
This data release presents the results of analyses of biota and water samples collected on multiple dates from 2007 to 2014 at 3 locations in Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Data are presented in 3 spreadsheets containing sample analyses for (1) stable isotopes in biota (2007-2014), (2) synthetic organic compounds in biota (2013-2014), and (3) synthetic organic compounds in water (2013-2014)
This USGS data release represents the evapotranspiration units and potential areas of groundwater discharge geospatial data from the following publication: Plume, R.W., and Smith, J.L., 2013, Properties of basin-fill deposits, a 1971–2000 water budget, and surface-water-groundwater interactions in the upper Humboldt River basin, northeastern Nevada: U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Report 2013-5077, 38 p., http://pubs.usgs.gov/sir/2013/5077/. The data set consists of 2 separate items: 1. evapotranspiration units 2. potential areas of groundwater discharge
This vector line dataset represents the lower Las Vegas Wash study area. Surface-water trace was digitized onscreen from Landsat8 and ESRI World Imagery. The trace is used in an accompanying surface-water study to evaluate discharge gains and losses at selected locations in the Lower Las Vegas Wash.

This U.S. Geological Survey data release consists of a tabular dataset containing stream temperature data. Data were collected every 12-hours from 15 sites in Soldier Meadows, Black Rock Desert - High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trails National Conservation Area, Nevada. The sites were established by the Bureau of Land Management - Winnemucca District Office in 2017. The data release includes tabular data of site names, date and time of temperature measurement, and stream temperature in degrees Celsius. The site locations are included below as a shapefile, exported from the National Water Information System (NWIS) Mapper. A site list can be accessed here: National Water Information System site list
This digital vector dataset represents the Northern Nevada Rift as published in an article describing the relationship of epithermal gold deposits to large-scale fractures in Northern Nevada (Ponce and Glen, 2002). The data are represented on figures 1-5 in the source publication and were later provided in an Esri shapefile via written communication from D.A. Ponce in 2017. An attribute field was added to distinguish the northern Nevada rift-east, northern Nevada rift-central, and northern Nevada rift-west.
This data release consists of four directories: GroundwaterWithdrawals, Precipitation, WaterLevelDatabase, and WLMs. The GroundwaterWithdrawals directory contains a Microsoft Excel workbook with groundwater withdrawal data from 1996-2015 for water-supply wells in Beatty and Bullfrog Hills, Nye County, Nevada. The Precipitation directory contains four Microsoft Excel workbooks with data from precipitation stations and analyses used to construct long-term precipitation index records. The WaterLevelDatabase directory contains a Microsoft Excel workbook with hydrographs and well information for the 79 wells analyzed in the larger work. The WLMs directory contains 11 water-level models that were used to determine hydrologic...
This USGS data release represents the 1:500,000-scale geospatial data for the following publication: Eakin, T.E., and Lamke, R.D., 1966, Hydrologic reconnaissance of the Humboldt River basin, Nevada: Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Water Resources Bulletin 32, 107 p. The data set consists of 3 separate items: 1. Depth-to-water area polygons 2. Isopleths showing mean annual runoff, 1912-1963 3. Water-level altitude contours
This USGS data release consists of two geospatial datasets. One dataset contains contours representing water levels based on depth-to-groundwater measurements made at 98 wells in July of 2012 in the Lahontan Valley near Fallon, NV. The second dataset contains contours representing water level change in the shallow aquifer in Lahontan Valley from 1992 - 2012 based on depth-to-groundwater measurements made in 73 wells in 1992 and 2012, with limited measurements made in 2013. These data support USGS Scientific Investigations Report 2016-5045 - Groundwater-Level Change and Evaluation of Simulated Water Levels for Irrigated Areas in Lahontan Valley, Churchill County, West-Central Nevada, 1992‒2012

This U.S Geological Survey data release contains soil moisture, actual evapotranspiration, precipitation, and potential evapotranspiration by watershed for the United States from 1980 to 2020. Hourly values from NASA's North American Land Data Assimilation System Phase 2 (NLDAS-2) Noah model were aggregated to daily values and extracted by Geospatial Attributes of Gages for Evaluating Streamflow, version II (GAGES-II) watershed. The daily aggregated values include average soil moisture at four depths, 0 to 10 centimeters (SoilM_0_10cm), 10 to 40 centimeters (SoilM_10_40cm), 40 to 100 centimeters (SoilM_40_100cm), and 100 to 200 centimeters (SoilM_100_200cm); and total actual evapotranspiration (Evap), precipitation...
