The Alaska Resource Data File (ARDF) is a database of mines, prospects, and mineral occurrences in Alaska. It contains information compiled from published and unpublished sources from industry, U.S. Bureau of Mines (BOM), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and other government and private sources. ARDF is not a mining claims database. ARDF is mainly focused on metallic commodities. Common industrial minerals or commodities, such as sand, gravel and crushed stone, and limestone are not included in ARDF, nor are energy minerals such as peat, coal, and oil and gas. However, uranium, thorium, and rare earth elements, as well as some high unit value industrial minerals, such as barite, jade, graphite, and gypsum, are included....

This data release includes three tables containing cosmogenic beryllium-10 and aluminum-26 concentrations and related data from samples collected at four sites in central Alaska in 2020, prepared in 2022 at the University of Vermont (UVM), and measured at the Purdue Rare Isotope Measurement lab (PRIME) in 2022. The file "burialAge_siteLocations_centralAK_bender.csv" contains site locations in the NAD83 reference frame, and burial ages computed from raw data contained in the other files. All files are linked by the site_id_short field.

This dataset contains 99 electron microprobe analyses of cassiterite, chalcopyrite, galena, pyrite, sphalerite, and tetrahedrite from seven Sheep Creek drill core samples and one outcrop; and a table that describes the textures, mineralogy, and rock type of 15 thin sections of Sheep Creek drill core and observations from our study and from drill core logging by industry. These data were used to compare this prospect with others in the Bonnifield district. The dataset also contains tables of sensitive high-resolution ion microprobe (SHRIMP) U-Pb zircon dates, zircon characteristics (crystal shape, external morphology, internal features, color, aspect ratio, and cathodoluminescence zoning), and 139 U-Th-Pb analyses...

This data package includes four child items with data about sediment size and transport on the Totatlanika River, northern Alaska Range. Child Item 1: "Grain Size Data Collected Along the Totatlanika River, Alaska, August 2021". Scaled and geotagged digital photographs of river sediment and tabular sediment grain size data derived from the photographs. Child Item 2: "Boulder Size Data Collected Along the Totatlanika River, Alaska, August 2021". Shapefiles and tabular data representing boulders measured on photogrammetric imagery. Child Item 3: "Channel Geometry Data Collected Along the Totatlanika River, Alaska, August 2021". Shapefiles and tabular data representing river channel geometries measured on photogrammetric...

This data release contains three tables of U-Pb zircon isotopic data generated from analyses of 40 metaplutonic and metavolcanic rocks from the Yukon-Tanana Upland of western Yukon and east-central Alaska and one sample from southern Yukon. One of the tables also reports U-Pb data for two titanite analyses for one of the samples. U-Pb zircon ages from analyzed samples range from 363.5 ± 3.8 to 253.1 ± 0.7 Ma and were collected from parautochthonous North America and the allochthonous Yukon-Tanana terrane. U-Pb zircon data include 216 individual analyses by ID-TIMS and 35 individual analyses of two samples by LA-ICP-MS. ID-TIMS analyses of titanite give concordant 206Pb-238U ages of 333 and 338 Ma. Two U-Pb tables...

This data set contains U-Pb isotopic data and associated ages of detrital zircon from sedimentary and metasedimentary rocks collected in northern Yukon, Canada. The samples were originally collected as part of geological mapping and research conducted by the Geological Survey of Canada. They were recovered from archived collections and sent to the U.S. Geological Survey for analysis of detrital zircon using U-Pb geochronology methods. Detrital zircon grains were separated and analyzed by GeoSep Services (GSS) in 2015 using laser-ablation-inductively-coupled-plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) techniques.
