This data release contains machine-readable files accompanying the study “Quaternary Reelfoot fault deformation in the Obion River valley, Tennessee, USA" published by Delano et al. (2021) in Tectonics. The data release includes grain size analyses from three auger sites (TableS1_WilsonLoop_grainsize.txt, TableS2_Lanesferry_grainsize.txt, TableS3_BiggsFarm_grainsize.txt) and unit descriptions from three auger sites and a modern analog (TableS4_modern_floodplain_unit_desc.csv, TableS5_Wilson_Loop_unit_desc.csv, TableS6_Lanesferry_Road_unit_desc.csv, TableS7_Biggs_Farm_unit_desc.csv). A readme file (readme.txt) provides details for each file. Delano, J.E., Briggs, R.W., Thompson Jobe, J., Gold, R.D., and Engelhart,...

This database consists of geologic slip rate information and metadata used to constrain NSHM23 geodetic and geologic deformation models.
This dataset contains linework for a simplified Quaternary fault map of Puerto Rico, and is described in Table 4 and Figure 24 in the related manuscript. Faults are classified into three different classes based on the presence or absence of geologic evidence for Quaternary fault activity and tectonic origin, and this dataset includes faults that may have weak, equivocal, or limited evidence for Quaternary deformation or tectonic origin. See related manuscript for additional details on interpretation and use of the linework. Related manuscript: Thompson Jobe, J. A. R. Briggs, K. S. Hughes, J. Joyce, R. Gold, S. Mahan, H. Gray, L. Strickland (in review). Neotectonic mapping of Puerto Rico.

This Data Release contains version 3.0 of two related earthquake geology databases for use in the 2023 U.S. National Seismic Hazard Model. The databases are: 1) A fault sections database (“NSHM23_FSD_v3”), which depicts the geometry of faults capable of hosting independent earthquakes, and 2) an earthquake geology site information database (“NSHM23_EQGeoDB_v3”), which contains fault slip rate constraints at points. These databases cover the 12 western U.S. states: Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. Datasets containing crustal fault information for Alaska and the central and eastern United States were prepared by Bender and others, 2021 and Thompson...

The U.S. National Seismic Hazard Model (NSHM) relies on deformation models to assign slip rates along active faults used in the earthquake rupture forecast. Here, we present the geologic deformation model results in tabular form. We provide model outputs in multiple file formats, as well as the polygons used in analyses throughout the geologic deformation model process. The data presented herein are in support of the following interprative manuscript: Hatem, A.E., Reitman, N.G., Briggs, R.W., Gold, R.D., Thompson Jobe, J.A., Burgette, R.J., (2022) Western U.S. geologic deformation model for use in the U.S. National Seismic Hazard Model 2023, Seismological Research Letters.

This dataset contains linework of lineaments mapped on 4 <1-m-resolution lidar datasets and the 10-m-resolution National Elevation Dataset digital elevation models in the Pit River region of northeastern California. Lineaments are classified by confidence in tectonic origin, map certainty, and the ages of the bedrock and surficial deposits they cross.
