The RTK survey, using a Trimble unit, was conducted in August 2021 in the coastal plains region (1002 area) of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, as part of a landscape vulnerability assessment. A total of six transects are included in the data, including five research sites and one transect collected at the camp site. Mean horizontal precision was 0.006m, mean vertical precision was 0.011m.

We mosaicked twelve LandSat-8 OLI satellite images taken during the summer of 2014, which were used in an object based image analysis (OBIA) to classify the landscape. We mapped seventeen of the most dominant geomorphic land cover classes on the Alaskan Coastal Plain (ACP): **value** | **class name** 1 | Coastal saline waters 2 | Large lakes 3 | Medium lakes 4 | Small lakes 5 | Ponds 6 | Rivers 7 | Nonpatterned Drained Thaw Lake Basins 8 | Coalescent low-center polygons 9 | Low-center polygons 10 | Flat-center polygons 11 | High-center polygons 12 | Drained slope 13 | Sandy barrens 14 | Sand dunes 15 | Riparian corridors 16 | Ice 17 | Urban (i.e. towns and roads)

This project will complete a tribally-based climate change vulnerability assessment t and adaptation plan for Eulachon that spawn in the Chilkoot and Chilkat rivers near Haines, Alaska. Local monitoring will collect data on spawning populations in the Chilkoot River, and a tribal stakeholder group will be convened to analyze climate change projections, apply traditional knowledge, rank climate vulnerabilities, and prioritized adaptation strategies.

Pulsed subsidy events create ephemeral fluxes of hyper-abundant resources that can shape annual patterns of consumption and growth for recipient consumers. However, environmental conditions strongly affect local resource availability for much of the year, and can heavily impact consumer foraging and growth patterns prior to pulsed subsidy events. Thus, a consumer’s capacity to exploit pulse subsidy resources may be influenced by antecedent environmental conditions, but this has rarely been shown in nature and is unknown in aquatic ecosystems. We sampled fish at a high frequency (daily - weekly measurements) to examine the importance of hydrologic variation and a salmon pulse subsidy on the foraging patterns of two...

This dataset contains replicate samples collected in the field by community technicians. No field replicates were collected in 2012. Replicate constituents with differences less than 10 percent are considered acceptable.
This dataset includes laboratory instrument detection limit data associated with laboratory instruments used in the analysis of surface water samples collected as part of the USGS - Yukon River Inter-Tribal Watershed Council collaborative water quality monitoring project.
These files include a derived 50 meter spatial resolution Compound Topographic (or Wetness) Index ([CTI or TWI](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Topographic_Wetness_Index)) and Flow Accumulation (as represented by specific catchment area, SCA) calculated from a continuous, transboundary DEM developed across the Alaska perhumid coastal temperate rainforest (AKPCTR). The extent of this dataset includes all of the Alaska and Canada watersheds that discharge into southeast Alaska coastal waters, which covers essentially the northern half of the full PCTR. The transboundary DEM used to calculate the CTI can be here: [link](http://ckan.snap.uaf.edu/dataset/a-continuous-transboundary-50-meter-dem-for-the-alaska-perhumid-coastal-temperate-rainforest-ak06b59)...
AKPCTR_DEM is a 50-meter resolution, bare-earth digital elevation model (DEM) in raster (geotiff) format. The perhumid (wettest) region of the North American coastal temperate rainforest (PCTR) extends along the coast of British Columbia and southeast Alaska between approximately 50.57 and 59.6 degrees north latitude. The extent of this dataset includes all of the Alaska and Canada watersheds that discharge into southeast Alaska coastal waters, which covers essentially the northern half of the PCTR. **General Methods:** Using Desktop ArcGIS version 10.3.1, the following three elevation datasets were combined to create a continuous DEM for the Alaska perhumid coastal temperate rainforest (AKPCTR) watersheds: 1)...
Normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) trend map was computed for the Alaskan Arctic Coastal Plain between 1999 and 2014. The decadal trend of each pixel was computed using 40-110 individual Landsat (TM, ETM+, OLI) satellite images acquired during July or August.

Data from high frequency sampling of multiple carbon forms were collected in a predominately rain-fed watershed in Southeast Alaska during the main run-off season (May-October 2021). The dataset includes dissolved organic carbon, particulate organic carbon, coarse particulate organic carbon, and invertebrate biomass carbon point samples and daily stream flow. The objective of this study was to collect data on carbon export and flow to model watershed export of carbon forms.

This dataset contains data collected from field blanks. Field blanks are deionized water processed in the field by community technicians using processing methods identical to those for surface water samples. Field blanks are then analyzed in the laboratory following procedures identical to those for surface water samples.
The dataset includes field measurements and laboratory analysis of water-quality data collected by trained community technicians across the Yukon River Basin in Alaska and Canada and Yukon River Inter-Tribal Watershed Council staff and analyzed at the U.S. Geological Survey National Research Program laboratories in Boulder, CO.

For hundreds of years, Pacific lamprey and Pacific eulachon have been important traditional foods for Native American tribes of the Columbia River Basin and coastal areas of Oregon and Washington. These fish have large ranges – spending part of their lives in the ocean and part in freshwater streams – and they require specific environmental conditions to survive, migrate, and reproduce. For these reasons, Pacific lamprey and Pacific eulachon are likely threatened by a variety of climate change impacts to both their ocean and freshwater habitats. However, to date, little research has explored these impacts, despite the importance of these species to tribal communities. This project will evaluate the effects of future...
