Various industrial minerals files kept by Indiana Geological Survey geologist Robert French. Topics include cement, crushed stone, gypsum, and quarries. Information contains grain size analysis, gypsum beneficiation, and Allen County, Indiana, data from Ned Bleuer and Michael Moore.
Permit and Mine Checks completed by the Indiana Department of Reclamation. The permits contain the company, contact information, and general mine statistics. The mine checks center on mine name, contact information, equipment use, and activity. The forms are filed by permit number and county.

The Indiana Coal Quality Database is an interactive map application that allows users to search, explore, and compare coal stratigraphic data. The database was first published on CD-ROM in 2005, with an updated CD-ROM released in 2012. The dataset is a compilation of various physical and chemical parameters collected by Indiana Geological and Water Survey researchers since 1954, and is updated as new information is gathered.
Work maps and materials used to compile the various Preliminary Coal Series Maps that represents a county reconnaissance-type mapping of the distribution, structure, and mined areas of coal in Indiana. The various forms of data including maps, tables and cross-sections are sorted by county.

Copies of Harold C Hutchison's, Indiana Geological Survey coal geologist, 7.5-minute quadrangle work maps for Indiana
This is a collection of core descriptions from various sources but primarily Indiana Geological Survey geologist. The collection is filed by and includes the following Indiana counties: Brown, Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Hamilton, Knox, and Lawrence.
This collection consists of glass microscope slides (1"x3") on which is glued a thin slice of rock ~3cm long, 2cm wide, and 0.003cm thick. At this thickness, most minerals are transparent, so they can be easily seen and studied in great detail. The slides are numbered and filed in special slide boxes located in the basement of the Indiana Geological Survey. The numbers correspond to a listing with pertinent information about the well itself, such as county, location, farm name, number, operator's name, etc. The listing is found next to the slide boxes. Also included is the number of the core from which it came. There are 11 boxes (5.5"x10") of slides with supporting documentation.

Miscellaneous geochemical data and reports generated at the Indiana Geological Survey (IGS). They are currently boxed up in long-term storage since the geochemistry section of the IGS was disbanded. .A box measuring 15"H x 9.5"W x 20"L is considered a unit. The data needs to be evaluated and linked to the physical samples.
