These polygon features represent digitization of the glacier margins for the 37 named glaciers of Glacier National Park (GNP) and two glaciers on U.S. Forest Service’s Flathead National Forest land, derived from 2015 satellite imagery. The polygons represent only the main body portion of each glacier as it appeared in 2015 satellite imagery. Disconnected patches are not included as this dataset represents only the main body features of the named glaciers in GNP and environs. Polygons were digitized from WorldView imagery acquired on the following source dates: 20150822, 20150912, 20150915, 20150925 (World View 01 satellite). The grizzly bear distribution boundary represents the estimated geographic extent of occupied range of the Yellowstone grizzly bear population for the period 2004-2018. The distribution boundary was delineated to provide reliable estimations of grizzly bear occupancy throughout time and for use as a monitoring tool in grizzly bear management and conservation. The boundary was delineated by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team (IGBST) using an interpolation method based on grizzly bear telemetry and GPS locations as well as verified observations and signs of grizzly bears inside the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem during 2004 to 2018.

This data release contains historical SnowModel (Liston and Elder, 2006) output for the Crown of the Continent and surrounding areas in Montana and Idaho, USA; and Alberta and British Columbia, Canada from September 1, 1981 through August 31, 2020. From 2002 to 2011, 94 bighorn sheep were collared to collect GPS locations for approximately a year.
Bumblebee community surveys used occupancy survey designs primarily across lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Glacier National Park (GNP). They also include a few surveys in Nevada. These records represent timed surveys that were both successful and unsuccessful in detecting western bumblebees.
We apply a monthly water-balance model (MWBM) to simulate components of the water balance for the period 1950-2099 under RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 for the Contiguous United States. We use the statistically downscaled MACAv2-METDATA temperature and precipitation data from 20 General Circulation Models (GCMs) from the Climate Model Intercomparison Program Phase 5 (CMIP5) as input to the water balance model. The Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team (IGBST) evaluates mortalities for population segments within the DMA by deriving estimates of total mortality for independent-age (2 years or older) females and independent-age males, including estimates of unknown/unreported mortalities based on Cherry et al.
