142 samples were analyzed by the following methods and digestions: INAA, AA after HNO3-HCl hot extraction. 109 samples were analyzed by CVAA after HNO3-HCl-SnSO4 acid digestion, AA with Muliti-Acid MIBK and XRF. 90 samples were analyzed by DC Plasma Emission after NaOH fusion. 89 samples were analyzed by ICP after HF-HNO3-HClO4 acid digestion with HCl leach. Assay of High Zn to follow on V91-20128.6

827 samples were analyzed for major and minor oxides using X-ray Fluorescence after lithium metaborate fusion; for gold on a 30-gram split using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy after Fire Assay; for trace elements using Inductively Coupled Plasma - Atomic Emission Spectroscopy following HCl:HNO3 (3:1) acid digestion. XRF analysis was performed on raw (non-fused) rock samples by Inco Limited's laboratory in Copper Cliff, Ontario for barium, niobium, strontium, yttrium and zirconium.

Rock samples were analyzed using inductively coupled plasma. Samples with highly anomalous visible quantities of gold, silver, platinum group elements, copper, lead, zinc, or antimony were further analyzed by fire assay/or atomic absorption.
Categories: Physical Item; Tags: Geochemical Sample
Rock samples were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma (ICP) spectroscopy. Samples with visible quantities of either gold, silver, platnium group elements, copper, lead, zinc, tin, molybdemum, chromium, nickel, or antimony had fire assay or atomic absorption analyses performed for those elements.

Silver, copper, lead, zinc, and molybdenum were analyzed by ICP-AES and following a digestion of a multi acid (total digestion) solution. The laboratories analyzed the remaining elements by ICP-AES. In most instances, when the results of samples analyzed by this method exceeded the upper detection limits, the samples were not reanalyzed, but results were reported as being greater than the corresponding upper detection limit. However, values above ICP-AES detection limits were obtained for some samples using low-level assay methods consisting of a multi acid digestion and AA finish, with results reported in percent.

113 samples were analyzed by the following methods and digestions: INAA, ICP after HF-HNO3-HClO4 acid digestion with HCl leach, AA after HCl:HNO3 (3:1) acid digestion and AA after Multi-Acid MIBK. For samples analyzed by Neutron Activation, some samples were difficult to analyze and have elevated lower detection limits due to high levels of Ba, Sm, Th, U.
