The Central Platte River Image Library is an extensive dataset of historic 1860's surveys by the Government Land Office and aerial photographs from 1938-2012. All datasets are either public domain property of the U.S. Government or published by the Rainwater Basin Joint Venture (RWBJV) with permission from the respective owner (specifically the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program or Central Platte Natural Resources District). The Central Platte River region of Nebraska extends from approximately Jeffery Reservoir (Western Extent) to Columbus (Eastern Extent). The library was completed May 2014 - Sept 2016 by the Rainwater Basin Joint Venture.

The Great Plains Landscape Conservation Cooperative (GPLCC, https://www.fws.gov/science/catalog) is a partnership that provides applied science and decision support tools to assist natural resource managers conserve plants, fish and wildlife in the mid- and short-grass prairie of the southern Great Plains. It is part of a national network of public-private partnerships — known as Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (LCCs, http://www.fws.gov/science/shc/lcc.html) — that work collaboratively across jurisdictions and political boundaries to leverage resources and share science capacity. The Great Plains LCC identifies science priorities for the region and helps foster science that addresses these priorities to support...

The Customized Online Aggregation & Summarization Tool for Environmental Rasters (COASTER) system ( www.COASTERdata.net) was developed by Yellowstone Ecological Research Center (YERC) ( www.yellowstoneresearch.org) in response to the information needs of end-user communities interested in decision-support for natural resource management. The COASTER system currently contains over 10 terabytes of climate data from several sources. These datasets have daily temporal resolutions, spatial resolutions ranging from 1km to 330km, and temporal extents ranging from 30 to 64 years (1948-2011). COASTER datasets are primarily limited to North America, but gridded datasets from other regions can easily be added to the system....

The West Texas Mesonet is an independent project collaborating with the Atmospheric Science Group and the National Wind Institute at Texas Tech University. Mesonet stations give real-time meterological data. Network of 89 mesonet stations and seven boundary layer SODAR units covering 60 counties in the Texas Panhandle, South Plains, Rolling Plains, Permian Basin, Trans Pecos, Concho Valley, Big Country, Edwards Plateau, Hill Country and eastern New Mexico.
The High Plains aquifer underlies 111.8 million acres (about 175,000 square miles) in parts of eight States—Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming. Water-level declines began in parts of the High Plains aquifer soon after the beginning of substantial irrigation with groundwater in the aquifer area (about 1950). This report presents water-level changes in the High Plains aquifer from predevelopment (generally before 1950) to 2013 and from 2011 to 2013. The report also presents change in water in storage in the High Plains aquifer from predevelopment to 2013 and from 2011 to 2013. The methods to calculate area-weighted, average water-level changes; change in water in storage;...
