Working with Great Basin stakeholders in 2015, the Great Basin LCC produced the Science and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (S-TEK) Strategic Plan that guides the LCC’s work for the next five years. The S-TEK Strategic Plan identifies the key science and management priorities of the LCC and incorporates the expertise and input of the S-TEK working group, including representatives from federal and state government, tribes, academia and non-profit sectors. The Great Basin Landscape Conservation Cooperative draws on its Steering Committee and Science and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (S-TEK) partners to prioritize and support conservation science across the Great Basin region. Over five years, GBLCC has distributed $3.3 million in direct funds and leveraged an additional $5.2 million in matching and in-kind contributions to 41 projects including sagebrush modelling under climate scenarios, tribal adaptations to climate change, mapping of wetlands across the region and many more.
