In order to synthesize and disseminate the information developed from the Colorado Plateau Rapic Ecoregional Assessment (CPREA) (as well as data generated by the Southern Rockies Landscape Conservation Cooperative (SRLCC) and its partners) to support the broader community of resource managers, there is a core capacity need for data analysis, visualization, decision support derivatives, and delivery of said science. Through efforts to develop the Opportunities and Challenges Report, it has become evident that managers in the field need to have a resource they can go to for assistance in interpreting the CPREA data and models, as well as data from other landscape-scale conservation efforts. This project report describes the methods used to organize, collect, and analyze and model data on 19 plant species having formal designation under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), or identified as of concern (i.e., “sensitive”) in the Colorado Plateau by collaborating Federal and state agencies, principally the Bureau of Land Management, Utah (BLM), the State of Utah Department of Natural Resources (UT-DNR), and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). The modelling domain for this project (Phase I) was restricted to the Colorado Plateau, as defined ecologically and spatially, and as used in the BLM’s Colorado Plateau Rapid Ecoregional Assessment1 (CP-REA) (Bryce et al. 2012).

This HTML document provides links to data and models on 19 plant species having formal designation under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), or identified as of concern (i.e., “sensitive”) in the Colorado Plateau by collaborating Federal and state agencies, principally the Bureau of Land Management, Utah (BLM), the State of Utah Department of Natural Resources (UT-DNR) and Division of Wildlife Resources (UT-DWR), and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Utah (USFWS). The modelling and interpretation domain for Phase I of this project is restricted to the Colorado Plateau, as defined ecologically and spatially, and as used in the BLM’s Colorado Plateau Rapid Ecoregional Assessment (CP-REA).
