24-hour Rainfall Frequency geospatial data for Connecticut

These GIS grids were produced from NOAA precipitation frequency estimates for North America based on precipitation data collected from 1816 to 2014. The grids provide data for the 2-, 5-, 10-, 25-, 50-, 100-, 200-, and 500-year recurrence intervals for a 24-hour duration. Grid values are in inches.

PeakFQ program input and output files for selected streamgages in Connecticut

Flood-frequency analyses for 141 streamgages in Connecticut were updated using the U.S. Geological Survey program PeakFQ, version 7.2 (https://water.usgs.gov/software/PeakFQ/; Veilleux and others, 2014). The PeakFQ program follows Bulletin 17C national guidelines for flood-frequency analysis (https://doi.org/10.3133/tm4B5). The input and output files to PeakFQ that were used in the Connecticut flood-frequency update are presented. Hydrologic soil type C, C/D, and D geospatial data for Connecticut

Gridded Soil Survey Geographic (gSSURGO) data from U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Grids include data for hydrologic soils types C, D, and C/D, respectively. Grid values of 1 are areas where the specified soil type is present, and grid values of 0 are NoData areas.
