This model represents perhaps the first attempt at a Precambrian basement model for the Okanogan Highlands. It incorporates a wide variety of data sources from varying scales to as input to the basement model. However, significant improvements to the model are possible with additional data and refined methods. For example, study- wide 1:24,000-scale mapping would greatly improve the resolution of the mapped basement extent. Refined age dating for the Okanogan Core Complex would also address the age of the terrain and whether it is appropriate to include with Precambrian aged rocks. This dataset is the result of a systematic search of the Washington Geology Library to locate unpublished (gray) literature on reconnaissance mapping, site studies, assaying, and other relevant sources. Once identified, items without copyright were scanned and made available digitally. Copyrighted items were added to an itemized list for reference. Both have metadata records and were made available to the NDC.
