This tabular data set represents the soil pH as processed from STATSGO2 database compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. The source data was produced by the United States Geological Survey (Wieczorek, 2019). Soil pH units are approximately the negative of the base 10 logarithm of the molar concentration, measured in units of moles per liter, of hydrogen ions. This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID. Reach catchment information characterizes data at the local scale. Reach catchments...

This tabular data set represents the STATSGO Soil Layer Attributes compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. The source data is found in the LAYER table from the "STATSGO soil characteristics for the conterminous United States" produced by the United States Geological Survey (Wolock, 1997). The variables included are water-table depth, soil erodibility (k-fact), soil erodibility for the uppermost soil horizon (k-factup), permeability, average water capacity, bulk density, percent organic material, rainfall and runoff factor ("R factor"...
The Natural Resources Conservation Service ( NRCS ) - National Cartography and Geospatial Center ( NCGC ) previously archived and distributed the State Soil Geographic ( STATSGO ) Database. The STATSGO spatial and tabular data were revised and updated in 2006. STATSGO has been renamed to the U.S. General Soil Map ( STATSGO2 ). It is available for download from https://websoilsurvey.nrcs.usda.gov/app/.

This data set consists of general soil association units. It was develped by the National Cooperative Soil Survey and supersedes the State Soil Geographic (STATSGO) data set published in 1994. It consists of a broad based inventory of soils and nonsoil areas that occur in a repeatable pattern on the landscape and that can be cartographically shown at the scale mapped. The data set was created by generalizing more detailed soil survey maps. Where more detailed soil survey maps were not available, data on geology, topography, vegetation, and climate were assembled, together with Land Remote Sensing Satellite (LANDSAT) images. Soils of like areas were studied, and the probable classification and extent of the soils...

This tabular data set represents the STATSGO soil layer attribute, salinity, compiled for two spatial components of the NHDPlus version 2 data suite (NHDPlusv2) for the conterminous United States; 1) individual reach catchments and 2) reach catchments accumulated upstream through the river network. The source data is found in the LAYER table from the "STATSGO soil characteristics for the conterminous United States" produced by the United States Geological Survey (Wolock, 1997). The ability of a water sample to conduct electricity is used to determine its salt content and is reported as milliohms per centimeter (mohms/cm). This dataset can be linked to the NHDPlus version 2 data suite by the unique identifier COMID....

This dataset was created using the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service’s (NRCS’s) SSURGO soil survey data and supplemented with STATSGO data in areas where SSURGO was not available. The dataset uses, in part, the soil data viewer extension for ArcMap to query for Wind Erodibility. Revised SSURGO map units provided by NRCS were used to update the map units near the Colorado-New Mexico border. The dataset is limited by availability of more detailed soils information from SSURGO, because this ecoregion contains areas not yet mapped by SSURGO. Wind Erodibility:A wind erodibility group (WEG) consists of soils that have similar properties affecting their susceptibility to wind erosion in cultivated areas. The...

State Soil Geographic data (STATSGO) depict information about soil features on or near the surface of the Earth. These data are collected as part of the National Cooperative Soil Survey. This dataset is a digital general soil association map developed by the National Cooperative Soil Survey. It consists of a broad based inventory of soils and non-soil areas that occur in a repeatable pattern on the landscape and that can be cartographically shown at the scale mapped. The soil maps for STATSGO are compiled by generalizing more detailed soil survey maps. We have recently added a KML export function to our online soil survey ( Soil-Web ). The Google Earth icon is displayed at map scales of 1:35000 or larger, and clicking on it will create a KML file containing the SSURGO polygons within the current viewport. The KML file contains labeled centroids, with links to the map unit descriptions which are normally found on Soil-Web. You will need a current version of Google Earth in order to take advantage of the KML produced by our website. To use this feature, zoom into a region of interest (at a scale of 1:35000 or larger) and click on the small Google Earth icon in the tool bar. If you have Google Earth installed, you may be prompted by the web browser software...
