Collection of digital structure contour maps from previously published USGS studies

Under the direction and funding of the National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program (NCGMP) with guidance and encouragement from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), there has been a decadal strategic plan in place to call for geologic mapping across the nation. This call has been increasing the need for digital data that has not yet been made available. National Assessment of Oil and Gas Project - Hanna, Laramie, Shirley Basins Province (030) Quarter-Mile Cells

Cell maps for each oil and gas assessment unit were created by the USGS to illustrate the degree of exploration, type of production, and distribution of production in an assessment unit or province. Each cell represents a quarter-mile square of the land surface, and the cells are coded to represent whether the wells included within the cell are predominantly oil-producing, gas-producing, both oil and gas-producing, dry, or the type of production of the wells located within the cell is unknown. The Assessment Unit is defined within the context of the higher-level Total Petroleum System.
