This digital publication, GPR 2008-3, contains data produced from airborne geophysical surveys conducted in 2007 and 2008 for the Styx River Survey area, southcentral Alaska. Aeromagnetic and electromagnetic data were acquired for about 715 sq miles. Data provided in GPR 2008-3 include (1) raw and processed linedata in Geosoft ASCII XYZ files, (2) gridded files of magnetic data, a calculated vertical magnetic gradient (first vertical derivative), apparent resistivity data, and a digital elevation model, (3) flight lines in vector format, and maps of the data in PDF format. Data are described in more detail in the 'gpr2008_003_readme.pdf' and 'Styx-Linedata.txt' files included on the DVD.
This DVD-ROM publication, GPR 2008-4, contains linedata, gridded data, vector data, and browse graphics produced from a fixed-wing aeromagnetic survey conducted in 1997 of the Holitna Basin area, western Alaska. Aeromagnetic data were acquired for about 3234 sq miles for the Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys (DGGS) during this fixed-wing survey.
This digital publication, GPR 2014-4, contains CGG's analysis and interpretation of data produced from airborne geophysical surveys published by DGGS in 2013 (GPR 2013-1) and 2014 (GPR 2014-5) for the Middle Styx and Farewell survey areas respectively. The two survey blocks Farewell and Middle Styx are referred to as the 'Farewell' survey in the project report as these blocks were flown under one contract. Frequency domain electromagnetic data and magnetic geophysical data were collected below a helicopter using a 30 meter (m) long line and a towed bird for the 1997 Iron Creek survey. The geophysical data were acquired with a DIGHEM-V Electromagnetic (EM) system, a Scintrex cesium magnetometer, and a Herz VLF system installed in on AS350B-2 Squirrel helicopter. In addition, the survey recorded data from a radar altimeter, GPS navigation system, 50/60 Hz monitors and video camera. This digital publication, GPR 2014-2, contains data produced from airborne geophysical surveys conducted in 2012 and 2013 for the Farewell survey area in the McGrath and Yentna mining districts, McGrath and Lime Hills quadrangles, south-central Alaska. Aeromagnetic, electromagnetic (EM), and radiometric data were acquired by helicopter for about 954 sq miles, which includes the 100 sq mile Dalzell Creek area previously released. This publication incorporates data from the previously published Dalzell Creek area into the linedata, grids, maps, and other derivative pieces of this publication. This digital publication, GPR 2008-2, contains 'preliminary final' geophysical data that were produced from airborne geophysical surveys conducted in 2007 for the eastern part of the Styx River survey area, southcentral Alaska. Aeromagnetic and electromagnetic data were acquired for about 180-sq miles of a 708-sq mile survey in 2007. The remaining survey data will be acquired in early spring 2008, processed, and released to the public later in 2008 as GPR 2008-3. Upon its completion, the new data will be merged with this preliminary final dataset.
