Spatial Feature Registry

The Biogeographic Characterization Branch (BCB) has conducted a number of activities over the last several years that have resulted in databases of named, significant spatial features that are important as a foundation for other databases and in analytical processes. We've discovered that all of these activities involve some of the same type of work in quality controls and data prep and result in a simple, common schema for the fundamental data attributes. In an effort to bring all of this work together and get maximum benefit for our systems as a whole, we are establishing this foundational ScienceBase collection to house the information.
